The Bay Drift Project: Art, Science and Trash

Aug 13, 2017 – 2:00 PM

More Info

Last year, Vizcaya and Frost Science partnered with UM's CARTHE scientists to design an citizen-science experiment that could help identify where the trash that washes up along the museum's shoreline originates.   Bring your friends and family to join us, and several of our Bay Drift collaborators, for an afternoon of trash-talk!  We will flood the estate with activities that showcase what we learned, what we hope to discover in the next year of the study, make art for the sake of science and we will do a little experimenting on site, with your help, too. Family programs at Vizcaya are designed for children 6-12 as well as their families and adults.  Ticket prices are your admission to the estate for the day.  If you want to come early to explore the estate, we will meet you at 2:00 p.m. in the Gardens!
