Matheson Hammock Park & Marina- International Coastal Cleanup Day 2017
We are halfway through the year with only two Company Events left! Warren Henry Auto Group is excited to announce their 3rd company event of the year. We want to welcome everyone to join us on this special day, September 16th, International Coastal Cleanup Day. We gave to the Joe DiMaggio’s Children Hospital on our Walk/Run/Ride Annual Event and we helped fight hunger at the Miami Dolphins Million Meal Pack, now we need to give back to nature. International Coastal Cleanup Day - spearheaded by the Ocean Conservancy - is the world’s largest single day cleanup event with cleanups in all 50 states and over 100 countries around the world. In 2015, 800,000 volunteers worldwide removed 18 million pounds of marine debris. Ocean Conservancy's Annual Index of Marine Debris. Miami-Dade's participation in this global event is presented by Covanta, and organized by VolunteerCleanup.org with 45 sites across the county from Sunny Isles to Homestead. Last year, in Miami Dade, 2,500 volunteers removed 15,000 pounds of marine debris on this one single day of service. This event is open to all employees and family members! For those of you on our health insurance or who will soon be enrolling (new hires), this is a great chance for you to complete one of the requirements for your wellness incentive. Don’t miss your chance to receive up to $600.00 back straight to your paycheck! This is an internal sign up for Warren Henry Auto Group employees and family members only.
