“People’s minds wander 47% of the time and a wandering mind is an unhappy mind.” Mindfulness meditation develops inner tools that help you manage stress more effectively, relax and feel calm, cope with difficult situations and improve attention, memory and performance. Over the last couple of decades, thousands of research articles have been published establishing the efficacy of practicing mindfulness as a way of reducing stress and improving medical and psychological symptoms. In this free class Juan will give a brief introduction to the basics of mindfulness: what is mindfulness, how is it different from other types of meditation and how to practice mindfulness. He will also do a guided meditation so you can start practicing right away. This class is for everyone regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced meditator.
