In remembrance of Veterans Day, we would like to invite you to join us for a recognition breakfast event to showcase our appreciation for everything you've done, and continue to do for your country. Join us for this breakfast gathering in honor of YOU! Along with your meal, Lieutenant Norris Reading will be featured as the keynote speaker. Lieutenant Norris Redding spent almost thirteen years in the United States Army. He was a part of the “Invasion of Grenada” and was deployed to Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Major Norris Redding was Honorably Discharged as a highly decorated Staff Sergeant in May 1992. Lieutenant Norris Redding began his Criminal Justice career as a Boot Camp Instructor for the State of Georgia Prison System. He then relocated to Florida in 1993 to work for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office as a Correctional Deputy. In May 1994, Lieutenant Norris Redding was hired by the Hollywood Police Department. After graduating from the Police Academy as the Honor Graduate in November 1994 and completing the Field Training Officers (FTO) phase in March 1995, He was assigned to the Patrol Division working Alpha Shift (Mid-Nights). Lieutenant Norris Redding obtained his Master’s Degree in Criminology from Grambling State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Barry University. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Union Institute & University and the Broward Community College Public Safety Institute. He holds several FDLE Instructors’ Certificates. Norris is married to Dionne and they have a nineteen-year-old son, Jaylen a sophomore at Florida Southwestern State College. His oldest son, 38 years old, Little Norris, is currently a Fire Lieutenant in Atlanta, Ga. His daughter, 33 years old Warrant Officer 01 Sh-Landa, recently completed her deployment to Afghanistan in the U.S. Army and is now station in Germany.
