Cultural Festival Program Application Workshop 3 - Broward Cultural Division
Cultural Festival Program Application Workshop - Broward Cultural Division The Broward Cultural Division will offer a grant application workshop for the Cultural Festival Program on August 15, 2017 at 6:30pm. Festivals build community, foster cultural exchange and understanding, and help tourism. They add a rich and vibrant texture to communities, and provide access to arts, heritage, and educational programs that engage wide and varied audiences. Festivals enrich cultural life by celebrating cultural expression and encourage understanding and appreciation for different cultures. The new funding program was developed in response to a growing number of requests to the Cultural Division to support cultural festival projects. This program seeks to create a competitive process, recognizing the needs of local, or regional, cultural festival presenters and producers. The festival funding category will support projects that include components such as audience participation and/or immersion around a programmatic focus. Projects should include the involvement of multiple community organizations, presenters, performance groups, and/or individual artists. Festival project ideas can also include Creative Industry events - Art District creative business Summits/ Creative Business, etc. The workshop will also cover submission of online applications.
